(obiettivi)
OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI: l'obiettivo del corso è quello di mostrare la storia di Roma in età moderna attraverso un approccio che tenga presente la storia politica, sociale ed economica della città durante tutta l'età moderna.
CONOSCENZA E CAPACITÀ DI COMPRENSIONE:
acquisire una buona conoscenza dei grandi processi storici dell'età moderna, con particolare attenzione alla peculiare situazione romana
CAPACITÀ DI APPLICARE CONOSCENZA E COMPRENSIONE:
sviluppare la capacità di analisi delle grandi fasi storiche riguardanti Roma moderna e la capacità di riconoscere le connessioni tra Roma, la penisola italiana e l'Europa.
AUTONOMIA DI GIUDIZIO:
analizzare in maniera critica fonti storiche ed informazioni.
ABILITÀ COMUNICATIVE:
Capacità di comunicare con un registro appropriato e di sintetizzare in maniera efficace le informazioni apprese durante il corso.
CAPACITÀ DI APPRENDIMENTO:
il modulo fornirà gli strumenti per lo studio critico dei libri di testo stimolando anche la formulazione di ipotesi e la ricerca di soluzioni utilizzando le fonti e la storiografia

The module focuses on the connections between the main events of European History and the social, institutional and cultural history of Rome during the Early Modern and Modern Age. The political and social use of urban space (holy places, "polycentrism" of court and curia) as well as the cultural construction of the "Mith of Rome" from the tradition of the "Grand Tour" will be investigated also through guided tours . Particular attention will be devoted to recent interpretations of the Modern Papal State, also through appropriate reading, in-class presentations and written exercises.
