ROLE OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN HEALTH PROMOTION
(obiettivi)
The incidence of cardiovascular disease coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus has been well defined in patients with the metabolic syndrome (at least 3 of the following: abdominal adiposity, low HDL cholesterol, high triglycerides, hypertension, and impaired fasting glucose). Our goal is to study the underlying mechanisms of vascular and metabolic complications in obesity-related metabolis syndrome. In this course the main objective will be to study the role of combined diet and physical activity in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases related to these clinical conditions.
The Main Purpose of this course is to intend to assist the students to understand the principle of major endocrine diseases and have a critical evaluation in the management of acute and chronic endocrine problems. The Course Objectives will be: • To understand the function of the endocrine organs, metabolism of their hormones, and their effects on the body. • To understand the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of diseases of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas (endocrine), testes, and ovary. • To interpret the results of measurements of stimulation and suppression of glands. • To know the basic pharmacology and use of insulin, thyroid hormones, corticosteroids, androgens, estrogens, vasopressin, and other agents. • To be familiar with principal issues in diabetes management especially applied in the field of physical activities.
Benefits of low intensity aerobic ecxercise in health elderly people Effect of aerobic execise on microcirculatory function Effects of low intensity aerobic exercise on the autonomic nervous modulation in older people -postural control in elferly people Falls prevention in elferly people, multisciplinary strategies Effects of Tai Chi Chuan exercise on mood, sleep, balance, gait, falls, fear of falls Effects of physical activity in people with Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis and Fybromialgia Effects of Tai Chi Chuan in children with ADHD

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
(obiettivi)
The didactic curriculum is designed to provide basis in Emergency medical procedures. This course will review the most common medical emergencies and their underlying causes, pathophysiology, and treatment. Upon conclusion of this course, participants will be prepared to successfully cooperate with other health professionals to diagnose, stabilize, and treat the majority of acute medical conditions. The mission of the course is to teach the student systematic management principles and a uniform standard of care in the treatment of a wide range of medical emergencies. These may include: triage, trauma care and general critical care resuscitation skills; non cardiac shock management; wounds and bleedings; heat and cold injuries; poisoning management; acid-base homeostasis disorders; gastroenteric bleedings; acute abdominal pain.
The course aims to provide students related to "Physical Activity and Health Promotion ," theoretical and practical fundamentals for cardiopulmonary resuscitation in sports. Keep in mind the importance of this course in the light of the Decree Balduzzi , in which you have , by law, that the sports associations should adopt semi-automatic defibrillator and other devices necessary for first aid. The knowledge and recognition of cardiac arrest , often dramatic event, must be intrepretated and intercepted in a quick, safe and accurate by the insiders. The course makes use of a theoretical part and a practical one, and enables a practical and essential know how for the safety of athletes affected by the disease such as CV acute arrest. The activation of those basic tecniques, such as interfacing with first aid facilities, safety measures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the possible help of semi-automatic defibrillator, allows a correct setting of the relief
